"I bought a gift for a bridal shower since I was coming from out of town. I had confirmation that the gift was available and then later was picked up by the couple. When the bride was opening her gifts, I never saw the serving bowl I had gotten for her. The bride opened a multitude of “gifts” from the same store that were all gift cards. After checking with her to see if she had picked up my gift and not brought it to the shower, she said she had not received my gift. Since the store was across the street from where the shower was held, we went to see what happened. After she me searching, they realized that since they did not have the bowl I ordered, the bride was supposed to get a gift card which had accidentally been stuck with another bride’s gifts. 😣 If I had not been at the shower, she might not have received her gift. I believe Persnickety needs to state on their online site that all bridal registry items are not kept in their inventory and that brides are given gift cards instead. It was super annoying to have picked out a gift with thought and care and then the bride not receiving it."
